where do i start!? firstly, i really liked this book. i mean, kresley cole wrote it and that is enough to inspire cult like worship from me. however, this book was different. anyone familiar to the iac series knows kc writing. she is the perfect mixture of hilarious absurdity, amazing world building, deep feeling, hot sex, and well...more hot sex. however, this was not like the iac books. firstly, i didn't laugh once. which is so odd, i mean there was no crazy valkyries, or witty lothaire, or 'nawlins lorean absurdity that i had come to love. which was odd. then another shocker happened. i didn't like the heroine...at all. as tom cruise so lovingly put it in a few good men, bettina was galacticaly stupid. she wasn't particularly smart, or pretty, useful, strong, or bright. i mean she just whined the whole damn novel.
